Halo: Spartan Assualt

Basically this is the next halo... for pc. It's only for Windows 8 pc, phones, and tablets. It's Halo Wars for pc in a nutshell. I'm surprised Gara didn't post about this xD.

Plus it seems only arcade style, so really, I don't think it will have such a fan base either.

Eh. They say you can only do a lot of stuff on windows 8. Take best buy. They told me I couldn't wipe my windows 8 pc and reinstall 7. Who's laughing at them now? Me XD

Oh hey windows blue is coming out- the new update to windows 8. Wonder how that will affect gameplay and all the bugs.

I think it looks cool, i want it. Its like Halo wars, which was a great game.

Except that it is not. Halo wars a full on strategy game with different tactics and multiple players. It might be that this game also has a coop, but for the tactics part, I hardly doubt that there will be much.
Truth is that MS is just trying to squeeze just a little more money out of the francise, otherwise, they would have perhaps done a whole new story and a whole new game for the phone and tablet and windows. However, I guess they do not want to put more effort into it and therefore just take the halo title, smash it upon a game and release it, to in general boost the sales of the windows. It's a sad things, since when Bungie made halo, at the start it was less about making money and more about giving the most epic experiance the game could give. I am not saying, that 343 would be doing a poor job, but I am just saying, the vibe that this is giving is a whole lot more different then the one at the start of halo and throughout the halo trilogy.

I find this trailer intriguing. I'll spare the subtleties I noticed, but it seems Cheif is going truly solo on this - neither allegiance nor sense of duty to humankind, more of a rogue mission, which if 343 is to go off on some sort of audience, involves Cortana on some sort of level. I haven't yet decided between either recovery or revenge, but both seem fitting themes - especially if you're into reading between the lines. But I'm also curious; what did you guys notice?

Halo is dead, anything i might buy is Halo wars 2 or ODST 2 or a remake of the original trilogy.

The new trilogy is shit. Does not have the HALO feel of the originals.
